Join us on Saturday, June 9, to kick off the Mackinac Island Lilac Festival with a great morning race. Over 1,000 participants joined us last year to enjoy the early season beauty on the Island. The course will provide you with beautiful sights of downtown, the tree-covered paved roads through the center of the Island, and tremendous lake views with the Mackinac Bridge on the horizon. This is certainly a race you don't want to miss!
2018 Mackinac Island Trio Series!
Register for all three races and you will receive a special Mackinac Island Trio Series medal. This will be a separate medal from the other finisher's medals you will receive at the completion of all three races, and will only be awarded following the Great Turtle Half Marathon. Registration for the 2018 Mackinac Island Trio Series is now open.

The 10K Run & Walk will start in front of Windemere Point (about 1/4 mile west of ferry docks) and finish in the Mackinac Island School yard (See map below.)

The Mackinac Island State Park Commission has assessed an $8.00 Park Usage Fee per person, and is included in your registration fee below.

We recommend you catch a ferry from Mackinaw City or St. Ignace no later than 8:00 AM on race day.
Race Day Registration
Individuals may register on race day from 7:30 - 9:15 AM at the Mackinac Island School.
We do not have any official gear-check location. You may leave your gear along the bleachers of the school gym. We ask that you do not store any valuables (i.e. wallets, purses, computers, iPods, etc.). We are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items. Lockers are available at any of the ferry line docks.
The race course begins at Windemere Point and will take you through historic downtown Mackinac Island, turning onto a challenging uphill, and over rolling hills through the wooded-center of the Island. The last leg of the race is on the shore road, offering the unique opportunity to take in the beautiful Straits of Mackinac. The entire run is on paved roads.
Mackinac Island Trio Series
Register for all three races and you will receive a special Mackinac Island Trio Series medal. This will be a seperate medal from the other finsher's medals you will receive at the completion of the races, and will only be awarded following the Great Turtle Half Marathon.
- Medals for all finishers in the 10K race.
- Apparel in Lilac-fashion will be guaranteed to all pre-registered entrants.
- Post-race refreshments for all participants.
Run & Walk: Overall and Masters male and female, and top three (3) finishers in each division.
Awards Ceremony will follow race. Please arrange to have someone pick-up your award if you will not be at the award ceremony—awards will not be mailed unless arrangements are made to pay postage.
Personally Engraved Awards:
Engravings are available for age-group awards at Bauman's Running & Walking Shop. You must mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to Bauman's Running & Walking Shop. 1473 W. Hill Road, Flint, MI 48507. Please include the following information:
- Race Name
- First Name
- Last Name
- Finishing Time
12 & Under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over, plus a Clydesdale Division in three weight classes: 185-199 pounds, 200-219 pounds, 220 pounds & over. You must indicate weight on entry form.
Walk Divisions: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
Photos will be provided to all race participants. You can view and share your photos on your results page at no additional fee.
Apparel in Lilac Festival 10K fashion will be available. We will update this page when the specifics become available.
Fruit, cookies and water will be available after the race for all participants.
Lockerrooms will be open at the school for you to change clothes and/or take shower. We ask that you bring your own towel and be respectful of the school by cleaning up after yourself.
